Why can’t I log in to Final Fantasy XIV?

Final Fantasy XIV has become a game that millions of players regularly enjoy. This online-only experience is one of the most popular games in the MMO genre. An online game like Final Fantasy XIV comes with some negatives, one of them being server maintenance.

If you're trying to log in to Final Fantasy XIV, the chances are that the servers are down for maintenance. In preparation for Endwalker, Square Enix plans to take down the servers for 24 hours to ensure a smooth update. We've listed the maintenance times below, along with the affected systems.

  • Server Maintenence Schedule
    • Dec. 2, 2021 (1:00am PT/4:00am ET) to Dec. 3, 2021 (1:00am PT/4:00am ET)
    • This maintenance affects all worlds.
    • Home World Transfer Service will be suspended from Dec. 2, 2021, 12:30am PT/3:30am ET until Dec. 4, 2021, at 12:00am PT/3:00am ET.
    • Several features in the Companion App will be unavailable during maintenance.
