How to make an Oven in Valheim

An oven is a brand new cooking station recently added with the Hearth and Home update in Valheim. To make the Oven, you will need the following materials listed below.

  • 15 Iron
  • 20 Stone
  • 4 Surtling Cores
  • Artisan Table

You will also need a hammer before you can place an Oven down when you get the necessary materials, and you will also need to place it on stable ground, or it will break when you place it.

Materials required to make the Oven in ValheimHow to get it15 IronYou can get eight iron by gathering it from muddy scrap piles in crypts in the swamp. However, you will also need a swamp key before you can access these crypts. 20 StoneYou can get 20 stones by mining rocks with a pickaxe.4 Surtling CoresYou can get surtling cores in the game in two ways: killing surtling enemies around fire geysers in the swamp biome and inside rooms in burial chambers.

Once you have the necessary materials, use the hammer to place the Oven down on the ground by right-clicking it to open the build menu. After that, find it in the crafting section and left-click it to place it down. When it is placed, you will be able to cook certain types of meat with it that you can't with other cooking stations. Just place fuel inside such as coal or wood and you will be good to go.
